This pictures is a photopresentation of my favorite origami done last year. The original designer, Satoshi Kamiya, a great japanese origamist, published some years ago a "crease pattern" of his phoenix, like a model of the fold on the square paper.

My aim in this fold was more than just recreate his fold, it was to appropriate the original designer work, to find the best modeling of this phoenix in my mind. The modeling detail and finition took me several years, and i'm quite proud of the result.
